Reasons Why Your Name Haven’t Been Posted By JAMB Yet For Admission Consideration [2016/2017]

We are not trying to discourage some people from hoping to be posted to their various schools for admission consideration, for those who have not been posted yet especially those who scored high in utme. Am not saying you should lose hope yet, anything can still happen. Am saying based on the hard copy schools have at the moment and also based on what happened last year during eligibility saga.

Those who were initially not eligible but hoping to be eligible by miracle were never eligible if not that it was later cancelled though miracle may happen this time, so I suggest you may keep checking for your name in Jamb website until its finally confirmed that no names will be uploaded again. Speaking based on the hard copy some schools have, those whose their names are not found in the Jamb website are also not listed in the hard copy when checked. So I dont know how possible it will be if your name is later uploaded in the Jamb website but not among the names in the hard copy unless schools will still receive more names from Jamb.

Check your name in Jamb website, if you’re not posted yet, you keep checking , you may be posted later

Some Of The Reasons Why Your Name May Not Have Been Posted To Your School For Admission Consideration:

1. LOW UTME SCORE:
Maybe your score is too low for the course you are aspiring for. Someone who scored 201 and aspiring for home science may be posted but someone who scored 248 and aspiring for medicine may not be posted. This is because home science is likely to cut below 201 while medicine will never cut below 248, so Jamb has assumed that someone with 201 is supposed to get admission under home science without screening yet. Remember that if your name is posted, it means you have been “Temporarily” offered admission by Jamb, meaning you scored above what Jamb is likely to cut for that course if they were to admit you alone but school is yet to screen you to know if actually you are qualified even when you scored above “assumed” cutoff mark. Meanwhile, there are some courses that even when you scored above likely “assumed” cutoff mark, you will still not be posted, sometimes you will be posted even when you scored below but the posting is mainly based on your score and your course because ALL SCHOOLS may have sent their cutoff marks to Jamb but you wont know.

2.CHANGE OF INSTITUTIONS:
This may not really be the problem because there are some who did not change school yet they are not posted yet but some people I know that have not been posted even when they scored high in Jamb did change of school (about 2 people so far).
The only names that may be posted later in the Jamb website  may be special candidates. All of you know what I mean by special candidates; they may be people with some errors in their registration numbers or error in change of school, they may be people that are sorting out their admission via staff/university quota/slot through a staff, they may be people that know someone in the university..this is Nigeria so everything is possible. It happened last year when some people who were not eligible later became eligible even before everything was cancelled. I know how it was done then and it will still be done this time. Some of you know me very well, I say what I see and what happens, I dont pretend to be self-made saint.

ADVICE
So if you are not posted yet, dont lose hope yet, be prayerful, it may still touch Jamb to upload more names and your name may be there. You can still be posted through other means maybe through miracles or maybe if you are sorting out your admission.
Dont just lose hope or give up until its over. If worse turns to worst, you may be posted to another university; all univeristies are good, it must not be your school of choice. Its not the school you attend or course you read that makes you, its your destiny.

JAMB Regularization – If No Admission Has Been Given Yet

.

The JAMB Regularization
procedures here are for
candidates (prospective
students, students or
graduates) that keep
getting a message that “No
Admission Has Been Given
Yet” each time they try to
check your admission status
on JAMB official website. If
your status show that you
have not been admitted and
maybe you are/have or were
admitted into a school, this
article will help you on how
to get your status rectified.

Wondering why you have to
regularize your admission
with the matriculation
board? Well the purpose of
regularization is to ensure
that JAMB have your current
admission detail that tally
with admission/registration
record in the school that
offered you admission.
Without this also, you may
not be mobilized for NYSC
when the time comes.
About two (2) things play
role that result to no
admission letter from JAMB,
and of course don’t be
tempted to blame the Joint
Admissions and
Matriculation Board as the
cause of this, they are not.
It’s either you didn’t do so
well in JAMB but performed
well in post UTME that made
your school admit you
without JAMB’s consent, or
your institution failed to
regularize your admission at
the right time. Enough of
the blame, let’s get this
fixed.

Who Truly Need
Regularization?

1. Any student, or
graduate that found his/
her admission status as
“not yet admitted” on
JAMB website.

2. 100 Level to final year
students admitted
through Pre Degree
Programmes without
admission information
(sometimes registration
number) with JAMB.

3. Students with double
admission who decided
to accept one of the
schools not recognized
by JAMB.

4. Those who gained
admission through
Direct Entry (ND, HND,
NCE, IJMB, etc).
Requirements for JAMB
Regularization
To pull through in this, you
need to gather the following
documents/information
about yourself and your
admission. Some of the
important requirements
include:-

1. Your Matriculation
Number in the school
admitted.

2. Full name (no
abbreviations).

3. JAMB registration
number (UTME, DE).

4. Pre Degree Reg No.
(where applicable).

5. Your State of origin.

6. Local Government/Area
(LGA.

7. Gender (whether male of
female).

8. Date of birth (used in
JAMB registration).

9. Course you are studying

10. Full address used in JAMB
registration.

11. Year of admission
When you have all these…

Proceed to any JAMB state
office nearest to you and
submit your details. You will
be required to pay (AT
LEAST) N4,000. Note also
that there is a procedure for
doing this online
through JAMB website but
it’s a bit rigorous. Students
Nigeria can help you with
this if you need help.

Solution to ” Sorry, No Admission is given yet !!

1.

The True meaning of ‘ Sorry, No Admission is given yet !!
I have come across many question on this website recently and
some candidate are confuse whenever they visit jamb or the school
website to check their admission status.
everytime you check your admission status, you keep on getting the
same reply ( Sorry, No Admission is given yet !! )
Don’t be surprise when you recheck many time and still see the
same thing.

The message will be change to congratulation you have been offered
admission as soon as the school offer you admission to any of the
available department.

What you can do when you see ” Sorry, No Admission is given yet !!

Take a little time and wait for your school to release another set of
admission ( 2nd or 3rd batch) and as soon as you confirm another
admission list is out you should check your admission status .

JAMB: 2016 University Admissions will Not Be Based on Point System

By Paul Obi in Abuja

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday said the 2016 admissions for tertiary institutions would not be based on the point system, instead, it would be determined by the criteria of merit, catchment areas and educationally disadvantaged states.

JAMB said the point-based system allowed institutions admitting students to rely on their O’level examination results to grade and score applicants for admission, thereby diverting from the laid down procedures for admission.

According to JAMB’s Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, contrary to the recent speculation that the 2016 admission would depend solely on the point-based system, universities, polytechnics and colleges of education have been directed to focus on merit, catchment areas and educationally disadvantaged states.

Benjamin said: “Sequel to the recent workshop convened by the Minister of Education on the modality for the 2016 admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria following the cancellation of Post-UTME, the federal government approved the re-enforcement of admission guidelines recognised by law. This is not the point based system widely circulated in some media.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Board wishes to state clearly that the point system is an illustration by the Registrar of JAMB of a few institution that were using the point system to select candidates while their colleagues were subjecting candidates to written tests.

“These examples are contained in a paper presented by the Registrar which is placed on our website and was adopted by the media wrongly as the 2016 guideline.

“Please note that the 2016 admissions will be conducted purely on the three existing admission pillars of merit, catchment area and educational less-developed states through the following process.”

Benjamin explained that the presentation of the list of candidates who qualify for screening into individual institutions will be based on the three stipulated criteria mentioned above. “This screening should not demand for another test in any form written, oral or electronic,” he said.

“Candidates are to present their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results/Advanced Level (AL) results for verification and clearing purposes. WAEC, NECO and NBTE results or equivalent are acceptable as matriculation requirements.

“Each candidate is expected to have a minimum of five (5) credits at SSCE including English, Mathematics and any other three (3) relevant subjects to his or her discipline.

“The list of qualified candidates awaiting SSCE/AL results can be kept in view (K.I.V) pending the release of their results. Any candidate who does not possess the requirements as listed above is deemed to have failed the screening,” Benjamin said.

The JAMB spokesman further stated that the “consideration of the recommended list as forwarded by JAMB should be completed within one month from the date of receipt of the list.”

“Any institution that has a shortfall in the admitted candidates can make up for candidates from other departments on the institution’s list.

“Reasons for rejection of candidates on the list should be clearly stated with proof provided alongside.

This is imperative so that the public will note the correct process.

“Be informed that government has directed that these guidelines should be strictly adhered to without any alterations,” Benjamin added.

JAMB to conduct admissions based on merit, catchment area, educational less developed state

8 ways that PES 2016 is better than FIFA 16

FIFA 16 might still be parading most of the silverware but Tom Wiggins believes this year PES 2016 offers a genuine alternative for the first time in a generation…

Some things never change. No, we don’t mean Arsenal’s Champions League campaigns, we’re talking about the annual FIFA-Pro Evo bust-up.

As usual, FIFA’s slick presentation and rabid fanbase has won it most plaudits but this season PES has run it closer than ever. We’ve put in the hours to extensively test both games and our findings? Here are eight ways we think Pro Evo is actually better than its eternal rival…

1. Goals, goals, goals

While FIFA 16 is quite happy for you to see out a nil-nil draw, PES is repulsed by the idea of not scoring any goals. Almost every shot is struck sweetly and hits the target, or at the very worst misses by less than the thickness of a Rizla as the ball sails just wide of the posts.

Almost every shot is struck sweetly and hits the target, or at the very worst misses by less than the thickness of a Rizla

Paul Pogba has a suitably venomous strike (and similarly dangerous-looking hair) and practically begs you to shoot with him. It also helps that the goalkeepers tend to be slightly on the, er, haphazard side. Sure, it means you’ll concede the odd goal through no fault of your own, but equally it increases the chances of a last-minute winner sailing into the top corner from 30 yards out – and when we’re playing a computer game, those are odds FourFourTwo can get onboard with.

2. It’s a pass master (except the through-balls)

FIFA’s slower, more considered passing style means it’s great for patient build-up play, but if you’re looking for the crash-bang-wallop football of Klopp’s Dortmund, you might want to give PES a go.

Messi

Virtual Messi is every bit as good as the real thing

Stringing together first-time passes is a joy, with a feeling of controlled looseness around the way the players move the ball. It’s by no means magnetic – overcook a pass and your team-mate might struggle to keep it under control – although the AI assists on the through-balls are still way too generous.

Still, that does mean it’s often possible to split teams open like Andres Iniesta chopping up watermelons with a hot axe. And who in their right mind would fail to enjoy that?

3. Who needs real names anyway?

Gone are the days of Roberto Larcos and Ronarid but PES still can’t manage a full roster of real team names. The ‘English League’ continues to be contested by North London and West Glamorgan.

Bayern, Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach aside, the entire Bundesliga is absent, and the less said about the Championship the better.

But none of that matters anymore. Some argue it never has (it did and does). Console owners can now download patches to update all Pro Evo’s invented kits and badges. It’s time consuming (once you’ve uploaded the image files you have to manually assign each one) but the end result comes pretty close to matching that Sky Sports sheen that FIFA fans have always lauded over their rivals.

4. It’s got the license to thrill

What PES lacks in real team names it makes up for in exclusive, official competition licenses. Phwoar. In all seriousness, a couple of these represent a gaping hole in FIFA’s Sky Sports sheen. Want to walk out to the operatic strains of the Champions League anthem? There’s no point playing FIFA.

Competitions PES

PES outdoes FIFA when it comes to official competition licenses

Fancy recreating those glamorous Thursday evening kick-offs from places that sound like territories on an ITV knock-off of Game of Thrones? PES is the place to be, with a full Europa League license to its name. Not niche enough for you? There’s also the Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana.

5. It looks better

Pro Evo’s graphics are powered by the same tech that runs the latest Metal Gear Solid game, so the way players move and collide with each other on the pitch is worthy of a sneaking special forces operative.

Neymar

The new game features spectacular graphics

The Agueros and Neymars of the game skip and glide across the turf, gently nudging the ball this way and that to keep it just out of reach of the opposition. It helps with collisions too, as does the fact that referees tend to be more lenient than an internal FIFA disciplinary investigation, so sliding tackles often have a hugely satisfying crunch. There’s also the dynamic weather, which means it can start raining or dry up during a game rather than being the same from the first whistle to the last.

6. It’s an amateur tactician’s dream

While FIFA’s computer-controlled players have a decent tactical awareness, blocking off passing lanes and covering runners, its scope for strategic tinkering is pretty limited, with little more than a few pre-set game plans and nebulous strategic sliders available.

PES, on the other hand, allows you to really get your Guardiola on. At the very basic level you can adjust in-game how far up the pitch your defensive line ventures from the goalkeeper. But setting two different formations for when you’re in and out of possession gives you far more control over how your team plays.

It’s also simple to completely rip up the rulebook and put players in exactly the position you want. Time to try tucking those full-backs into midfield a la Bayern?

Formations PES

PES allows greater tactical flexibility than FIFA
7. It’s got better celebrations

Like it or not, the selfie is here to stay. How do we know? Because Rome’s greatest Emperor, Francesco Totti, took one with an iPhone after equalising against Lazio in January – and you can recreate the whole thing on PES.

In general PES’s celebrations have far more character than FIFA’s, more often involving other team-mates for high-fives, impromptu group photo shoots in front of paparazzi, and even Luis Suarez’s famous wrist-kissing routine.

You can even jump up onto the advertising hoardings and revel in the rapturous adulation of your loyal fans. Coming to PES 2017: an elaborate selfie-stick routine involving Ahmed Elmohamady and Hull’s entire starting eleven wearing masks of Ronnie Pickering. Maybe.

Totti

There are a greater variety of real-life celebrations on offer in the latest offering

8. It’s just more fun

Before football games started to become obsessed with recreating every single blade of grass on the pitch they just tried to be, y’know, fun. That’s how Pro Evo made its name.
